Hello everyone. Our episode on The Ablisher Man will post tomorrow, but right now I want to do some announcements.

First and foremost, happy birthday to our listener, Mr. Nick Wagoner. Congratulations on your

awesome wife and awesome baby. And we really hope that you had a wonderful birthday this week.

Now, Andrew is the guy who does the lovely toasts, so in lieu of that, I thought I would share one of my favorite quotations

from Lewis about fatherhood. And this can be found in his preface to his George MacDonald

anthology. He writes, We've learned from Freud and others about those distortions and character

and errors in thought which result from a man's early conflicts with his father. Father, most

important thing that we can know about George McDonald is that his whole life illustrates

the opposite process. An almost perfect relationship with his father was the earthly root

of all his wisdom.

From his own father, he said, he learned that fatherhood must be at the core of the universe.

Speaking of fatherhood, Mr. Matt Bush has not yet had his baby.

The little shrub keeps pretending that he's going to make an appearance, and then

Matt and Mary Margaret go back home from the hospital. So if you would like to throw up a prayer

for them, that would be very much appreciated. Next up, I've got three conferences to tell you

about. We previously interviewed Juliana Slager about

the bareface ballet. It was based on two we have faces and my wife and I reviewed it

after we got to see a performance in Chicago. Well, on March 13th to 14th this year, the same team

who produced that ballet is going to be hosting

the Thick and the Clear, C.S. Lewis and the Arts. It's a two-day gathering in Chicago on

beauty, story, and why, till we have faces, still won't leave us alone. And it's not just because
