about the Trump administration following much the same path the Obama administration did in dealing with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps,

leaving out the terror part. Here Thadis explains. Strait of Hormuz, you can't leave out the terror part.

It sounds as if Iran still controls whether or not the Straits of Hormuz is opened or closed.

It sounds as if Iran has not had, I mean back out,

the president has said he, in as a practical matter,

he believes he's accomplished at least two or three regime changes in Iran by executing

the leaders.

The reality is, as we can tell by by the walking out of the negotiations, the support

for Hezbollah, its continuance, and its continued desire to continue to export terror,

that there has not been a regime change because the ideology remains in place, the IRG remains in place,

the regime remains in place. And so you are going back to what we used to argue with the Obama administration again,

not only if you divorced terrorism from the negotiations regarding the nuclear program,

you're also not doing anything.

You're dealing with the regime that you cannot trust.

And if there is no trust, there can be no verification. You have to trust but verify. If you have no trust at all, and there is no ability to verify, you have nothing. So we are right back where we were before with the Oval Administration with the same types of people, with the same types of arguments, and with the same types of failure of architecture to put in place any kind of deal that is sustainable.

So I'm not optimistic about this, and I don't think that I'm alone in this because the American people seem to share this type of frustration and type of consternation, type of concern for the future.
