A conversation with Mary Kissel, my colleague, makes the very clear indication that they talk

about withdrawing from NATO that we heard around the Trump administration in the first year.

It's no longer there.

In fact, instead, what we have is support for Ukraine and support for NATO, and even now talk of nuclear

weapon capable aircraft going to countries that don't now house nuclear capable aircraft,

and complimenting that, of course, would be the gravity bombs that are already in Europe.

So here's Mary Kissel on Trump, NATO, and Ukraine, a NATO property, burden,

responsibility, opportunity, more tonight. I don't know if it's a post-NATO environment. The president

has always supported NATO. He's just wanted our friends and allies and member states to contribute

what they promised to contribute. I think it's long past time that European capitals took their

security seriously. Republican and Democratic presidents have wanted it. I think it's a great step.

But I also think you can't ignore the really tremendous effort that the Ukrainians have made to develop their own industrial base, to have their own type of military innovation, which they're now starting to export.

I think that's really quite remarkable, given the conditions that they've been under, given the numerical advantages that Russia has, along with its friends in Iran and China,

that are helping it prosecute this war in Ukraine. So, you know, kudos to the Ukrainians,

the Europeans do need a wake up call. And to his great credit, President Trump has not

withdrawn resources from Ukraine or denied them, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance?

He's kept that support there. He's encouraged investment.
