I'm John Betts with Annie Fixler of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies.

She has a publication there links to other publications about the,

what we know about Iranian attacks on cyber attacks and kinetic attacks.

That means drones, sometimes missiles, but drones.

On targets that you wouldn't expect would be in war fighting, such as a data center

or a wheat silo for heaven's sakes. What I'm learning from Annie is that everything's wired in now

and there's no way to get away from the fact that you're vulnerable. So what is to be done?

Annie had the general knowledge that Iran was very good at cyber and had developed offensive

and defensive skills, and I incorrectly placed it as number four after the U.S., China, Russia,

and then Iran.

You tell me North Korea has been promoted into that, let's say, Hall of Shame, not the U.S. part, but the other four, which are right now

adversaries of the United States and its allies. Those four, are they getting better all the time?

Is there any way of measuring how they're accumulating data?

I ask this because there's fresh news, you and I have discussed it,

that there's a new program at Anthropic that can find zero days everywhere.

Are they meeting about this now?

Are they worried about it now?

Are they better than we are?

Yeah, so it is a challenging time in cybersecurity,

I would say. The announcement out of Anthropic, their newest model is capable of discovering

vulnerabilities in software at an astronomical rate. And so it can discover vulnerabilities

much faster than our systems
