We turn to Asia, especially the People's Republic of China and its threats to our allies.

We're joined by Piero Tozi, Senior Director for China Policy at the America First Policy Institute.

Gordon, I again see that Xi Jinping cannot go through a whole week without mentioning his threats to Taiwan.

In this particular instance, he's talking about an embassy by the opposition from Taiwan to the mainland

to make gestures again of accommodation. Is there anything new here, Gordon, or is this rinse and

repeat? Good evening to you. Good evening, John. On Friday, he met the KMT head, Chengli Wan,

as she went to Beijing. I don't think there's anything really new, and I think part of the reason

is that Xi Jinping has decimated his military.

So he no longer has the ability to launch an invasion of the main island of Taiwan and be

successful. So I think that he is just using rhetoric as a holding until something better happens

in the military.
