I welcome my colleague of Anastradner of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies,

writing most recently in New York at the New York Post about the

results from Budapest, Hungary, a member of the EU, a member of NATO, and now falling afoul of the

Kremlin of Belgrade and other bad actors in Europe, the man named Orban has left the theater.

Instead, we have a man named Peter Magyar, who has a great task ahead of him

to dismantle an information warfare network that was dominating for at least 16 years,

especially these last months, so much so that when

Ivana and her colleague Admiral Mark Montgomery posted their column in the New York Post

before the election, they had to use the word if Hungary conducts a free and fair election.

It was not obvious. Nothing about that vote, which is overwhelmingly

in favor of Peter Magyar and the challenge to Orban's dictatorship. Nothing about that vote was

obvious the day before. Yes, the polls ran heavily against Orban, but elections fall into two

categories in states dominated by authoritarian.

There's crooked and there's crooked.

So there was lots of anxiety.
