This is John Batchel, a conversation with Jonathan Saya of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies about what the Iranian people believe they must sacrifice in order for them to shed the Islamic regime.

Jonathan looks at the threat warning from the President of the United States bridges and power plants what makes that

sufferable is jonathan i think the question then is should there be a devastating attack against

let's say uonian bridges and power plants um so long as that is the price for freedom, I think the average Iranian understands that.

I think the main concern is for these sites and key national assets to be destroyed

and the regime stays in power.

Then Iranians are just stuck with an Islamist version of North Korea

without bridges, roads, or power, which would be catastrophic.

But ultimately, it comes down to messaging.

And I think the president reiterated, again, through Axios,

that he's not going to end the war without supporting the Iranian protest movements.

We just have to wait and see.
