I'm John Betts with Elizabeth Peek of the Hill and of Fox News,

and we're noticing, rather than the crisis of the Strait of Hormuz,

we have the crisis of the airport security line. And I read in a column that Liz posted on her,

Liz Peek.com site, this has to do with the Democratic and Republican dispute over the Department

of Homeland Security funding. At this point, I get lost in the reasoning. But for some reason,

the long lines at the airports, 12 in particular, but really it's all the airports because everything's

connected. That equipment that you're flying on has to be somewhere else by such and such a time

where there's, that airport's not going to work. That all comes down to funding of the homeland

security. Liz, how did this come about? I couldn't connect these dots if you paid me.

I don't think anyone can follow the back and forth day-to-day maneuvering on this particular

issue, John. But basically, Democrats don't want to fund ICE. They think this is a big

strategic place for them to rest, denying funding to ICE, even though

I think a lot of people know, probably not everybody, that ICE already has been funded.

There was money for ICE in the big, beautiful bill.

So it is funded to 2029.

So the whole thing is a complete show.

It means nothing.

But meanwhile, the Democrats are holding hostage, FEMA, and also the TSA, and TSA agents,

FEMA people aren't being paid.

This is, as a Friday, it'll be a month without a paycheck.

And guess what? A lot of these people are quitting, are not showing up because they can't afford that.

They've got to go out and earn some money to pay for their rent. So it's an outrageous situation.
