Leadership and Strategy to Warfighting. Jeff and I have fought several wars over these last years,

and this one is unique in that it might be a glimpse of the 21st century war.

Drones and missiles and cyber attacks and information warfare

and casualties can come anywhere on the planet,

not just in the combat zone.

Jeff, I begin with the fog of war statement.

We only know what is being reported out of the immediate battle zone.

Right now, prominently on the front page in London, are burning oil tankers.

We know that there are more than 150 lined up in the Gulf, no way out,

with the Straits of Hormuz that are said to be mined under missile threat from not only Iran,

but you'd have to include the Houthis who can fire

any moment from the other side. And we're told this morning the attacks were drones, but

drones on the water. In other words, speedboats without people in them that blew up these tankers.
