I'm John Batchel with my colleague Liz Peake. She's a columnist the Hill, commas at Fox News, much on Fox business. Greenland, I tell a story about Greenland, Liz. I can remember in the fourth grade raising my hand repeatedly as we were getting geography lesson. I believe it's a fourth grade. You know, that's a little hazy what grade it was,

saying to the teacher that it's not right that Greenland's not a continent. It's bigger than Australia. And I had this argument with her in front of the class. And she kept telling me,

no, no, no, you don't understand. That's just the way it's drawn on the globe because it's flat as a map. And of course,

my brain couldn't comprehend that. It still struggles with the idea that Mercator has misled us.

But I mention all that because Greenland, I think, is commonplace for children to see as a very

large amount, a very large island that is in the possession of a European

power, Denmark. It's not that large. It's about a quarter of the size that it's on the

map, maybe a little less. It's got 50,000 people, which that's not even half of Westchester,

I believe, so we're looking at a very small population.

And it's got a capital with the unique opportunity to have two U's in it.

What use is that?

That's what good it is.

And now Denmark is reinforced with special forces.
