I'm John Batchner, and I welcome my good colleagues, Bill Rajo, Senior Fellow for the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy.

He keeps the Long World Journal with his colleagues.

And Hussain O'Connie, senior fellow for the Hudson Institute, former ambassador from Pakistan of the United States.

Gentlemen, we gather here today with chaos being reported from London and from Washington and across the

Eurasian continent. I list some of what we know is going on. The Iranian matter presses

the headlines in part because there's complete lack of clarity as to what has happened

overnight, several nights in a row.

Protests are obvious.

We can see that from videos.

But there's a claim of maybe 60 dead, maybe several hundred dead, maybe more than that.

There are remarks by the President of the United States that in some fashion the U.S. will intervene if students or young people or protesters are gunned down.

That's a term of art.

That may or may not be the case.

So I mentioned Iran, but in addition, we have the Venezuela story completely unfinished.

And then we have not one, but now two strikes in Syria against what are said to be ISIS elements.

The Ukraine story is unfinished.

And the larger story of the Middle East War started in 23 with the attack on Israel by Hamas is also unfinished.

So, Mr. Ambassador, I welcome your comments

about the chaos that we're now perceiving.
