I'm John Batchel, and we're discussing Josh's new book, Israel and Civilization,

the fate of the Jewish nation and the destiny of the West.

Israel is under attack by the geopolitical force of Iran and its kindred of Kane.

Iran is now integrated into an alliance with Moscow,

with Beijing, and with Pyongyang. There are other actors. That's enough. That is a direct threat

to the integrity and security of the United States. But it also is meant to be a repudiation of what we consider in the

West to be our greatest creation, which is law and order, good heavens, and the city-state,

and the idea that you have justice in the land. That is what we depend upon each day,

whether we're Orthodox Jews,

Orthodox Catholics, or Orthodox Protestants. We depend on it. We count on it as if it's not,

as if it's always going to be there. But what I've learned from Josh's book and from travels

is that not only is never, it's not always going to be there.

It's not arrived in many parts of the world yet.

And that is a challenge to all of us.

I want to say, though, that my experience over the

broadcasting for a quarter of a century now since the attack is that it's much worse than it was

when I was growing up. You don't have that experience because you were in the seventh grade when

the attack came. I was a, I was a man in his 40s and 50s in fact.

And there's nothing comparable to what we're now witnessing.
