Venezuela, under the boot of brutes, led by Nicholas Maduro.

Venezuela, driving 7 to 9 million people of its own population out of the country these last years

to do what they can in Brazil and Colombia and make it to the U.S. if they're lucky.

Venezuela right now is facing a flotilla, a very large fleet with a lot of firepower, has been for weeks.

And yet, Jeff McCawson, Colonel Jeff McCawson, the United States Army retired artillerymen.

He is CBS News.

He is also visiting Professor Dickinson College and CEO of Diamond Sixth leadership and strategy.

Jeff, we've watched the escalation ladder,

and we're now at a place where they're using the word blockade.

There's an asterisk next to that word,

but in any event, it is a threat to the Maduro regime

to maintain credibility.

What are you looking for over these next days for the blockade to

escalate or to stay here? Good evening to you. Good evening to you, John. Of course, I think it's

going to escalate over time, but it may escalate also vertically and going to other efforts.

Supposedly there was a meeting at the White House today, the principal players, about options for

Venezuela.

And it's not impossible.
