This is John Batchel, a conversation with Bob Zimmerman about a mystery. Why is Amazon to launch

its Leo constellation for communications similar to Starlink, for example? Why is Amazon using

the expensive throwaway booster company, ULA, and even its own blue origin.

Why are they doing that when SpaceX is a cheaper model?

And their own stockholders say, what are you doing?

Why are you giving business to people who don't have a reusable booster?

The answer is mysterious, but Bob lays it out that the contracts were done

before SpaceX was so prominent. And perhaps out of spite or some kind of insult between billionaires,

after SpaceX said, hey, and I think there was a lawsuit,

Amazon gave them three satellites.

Now, SpaceX has launched thousands

and could launch the Leo constellation as well.

If the object is Leo, what do you care what the booster is?

Bezos, Mr. Bezos.

It's odd.
