This is John Batch for conversation with colleague David D'Udo of the Foundation for Defense of Democracy

about a pattern of Israeli pushbacks against Hezbollah in the southern border of Lebanon,

northern border of Israel. Dron strikes and air strikes. More air strikes now than before. Why?

David watches the pattern change. The IDF does not comment, but it would

appear that it has belies rebuilding quickly, regenerating, reawakening, and requires greater and more

frequent and heavier-handed attention from the IDF. Much more of this tonight.'s david on the pattern so that's more

policing activity so look the problem is that the Israelis don't give a lot of detail on what they're

doing um you know let's say in in these policing activities say the ground activities so usually

that'll be like a raid gunfire directed from one of the

five posts that the Israelis are holding in South Lebanon towards, you know, what Lebanese media

will say are shepherds or civilians or what have you. And the Israelis won't comment on what they've

done. The Israelis will comment when it's something like a big operation or a big,

you know, a big strike. So like the airstrikes, I've seen them, you know, with the targeted

killings, the Israelis for weeks were relying more on drone strikes. Now it seems like in the past

week, they've escalated more to air strikes. So it seems like they want to bring in heavier firepower. They want to make sure that the targets they're hitting are being killed or destroyed. If they're, you know, hospital installations, for example. And there seems to be, again, what I've noticed is a pattern where the airstrikes were more rare than the drone strikes.

Now that's flipped.

There seems to be more air strikes, at least in the last week, than the drone strikes.
