The headlines are stark. Washington Post. Trump says

U.S. military will reimpose blockade on Iranian ports. Subhead, the move by the United States

takes away the last major concession to Tehran. It had helped foster a ceasefire. Edmund, a very good

day to you. This appears to be the end of the

ceasefire and it appears to be the end of the memorandum of understanding. I'm not fixed on that.

This is fog of diplomacy. But in any event, this follows five or six rounds of retaliation by

either side, depending on your point of view,

bleeding nowhere, as far as I could tell, because it was not about the suspect nuclear

weapons program, but about the straight-of-form moves. This latest announcement by the United

States also comes with the additional caveat that I believe in these last hours, the President of the United States said that the U.S. would be a guardian. That's in quotes, a guardian of the state of our moves. How do you interpret these events? Is this a kind of violent negotiation that's typical, or is this something new?
