that they would not be able to essentially manage a stable, peaceful, democratic transition,

after the capture of Nicolas Maduro, we chose to work

with the Vice President Delcia Rodriguez first to try to stabilize the country, but that left in place,

the security apparatus, Sabine, that left in place, you know, a lot of the criminal activities

in the countryside and in the mining belt, that left a lot of the corrupt apparatus.

And then we lifted a lot of the sanctions.

We allowed oil to start flowing again.
