Here on Pites with Jack, we are reading our way through the works of C.S. Lewis.

I'm David, and I'm joined by my co-hosts, Father Andrew, and Matt.

This season, we find ourselves among the stars reading through the first of C.S. Louis's science fiction trilogy, out of the

silent planet. And since this is the first episode we've recorded since Easter, with the traditional

Easter greeting, Christ is risen. He is risen indeed. Christos aneste, alethos

anesty. And I have yet to discover how to say this in the language of Malacandra.

I actually first wanted to announce that because there is so much to say, we're going to

continue doing a single chapter per episode pretty much until the end of the book.

And today we truly begin the final section of this book.

Everything has been moving towards this meeting between Ransom and Oyasa, who is the

tutelary spirit hall, guardian angel of Malacandra.
