If you thought last week's episode was a good representation of how the same facts can be spun into different narratives

during directing cross examination, as they say, you ain't seen nothing yet

Just a bit ago, I spent three weeks analyzing crime scene investigator Maurice Carpenter's report

We compared his notes within excess of 900 crime scene photos

During those episodes we discovered a lot of discrepancies

To be more accurate, we discovered that Maurice either missed or intentionally left out any indication that there had been a break in or a burglary

My opinion was that the report was intentionally misleading

There's simply no way that I can reconcile the thoroughness of taking over 30 photos of paper scraps

But zero photos of the door jams on the back or the garage entry door

There were paragraphs of narrative on the mop bucket, but not a single word about the HDMI cable hanging out of the living room entertainment center

My opinion was and remains the same today

The Carpenter willfully and intentionally crafted his report to exclude all possible scenarios, leaving only one

That Sandra Melgar killed her husband and staged the scene to make it appear as though there had been a burglary

In those three episodes, I was pretty hard on Olmorese

But that's nothing compared to how attorney Max C. Cress handled him during cross examination
