For fantastic extra content, join us at https://www.patreon.com/c/EnlightenEdgeEDU , where you will also be supporting the podcast. This week the extra content will help learn more about elements of the Law of Moses that bring us to Christ with Kerry.

In this episode Kerry and Avram Shannon discuss how the Law is fundamentally about atonement -- or reconciliation with God -- and sacrifice and the way God's law, whatever its form, helps us become holy, and the role of commandments and atonement in that process. They also delve into how the Law of Moses increased faith in Jehovah/Christ. They talk about how God is holy and wants us to be holy. They discuss the temple context of atonement in the text. Kerry explores the Law of the Redeemer, and what it did for Israel anciently and how it teaches us all about how Christ redeems us. Then Kerry and Avram discuss sacrifice in the Law of Moses and what it means and what the different kinds of sacrifice are. They help us see how we give ourselves to God, and how Christ's sacrifice helps us overcome sin and transgression and our fallen natures and find peace and wholeness and reconciliation with him.

make it so they don't even gain some of the simple things we're offering

0:43.0

and i really do make it a matter of prayer and so on and and i felt very strongly

0:47.9

that those who take advantage of of just a little bit of this will be blessed

0:53.4

but i shouldn't limit people who really want to

0:55.7

take advantage of more, and that we should be doing all we can to help people understand

1:02.0

the Old Testament and the nature of our God and His Son, Jesus Christ, as we study the Old

1:17.7

And so this week, we really want to help you understand this.

1:22.2

This is really crucial stuff.

1:23.9

So we've got two episodes for you this week, both a bit shorter than a typical

1:28.3

episode, whereas last week both were a bit longer than a typical episode. And I should say that

1:33.6

part of this week's reading is also on constructing the tabernacle, but the Come Follow Me program

1:38.5

had us talk about the temple and the tabernacle last week. So please go back to episode 36 and find where we talk with two rabbis.
