CJ, we're in Psalms.

We're in chapters 66 through 70.

What are we going to talk about today in these few Psalms?

Today we're going to focus on Psalm 67.

And actually we're going to focus in on just one little line.

Just one line.

One little line in Psalm 67.

So verse one says,

may God make his face shine upon you.

And in biblical theology,

when we're looking at all of Scripture,

this is a very, very rich phrase.

Light is associated with life and abundance, which obviously come from the Lord. And God's

light or his illumination points us to his care and special favor toward his people. So a few

examples we have today here. In Genesis 1, we think of God producing light at creation, a light

that sustains life. Or we can think of in Exodus 14,

after Israel comes out of Egypt, it's God's cloud that lights up their journey or their path

before them and enables a safe journey for them forward into the wilderness.
