going to choose one Psalm to focus in on. Which Psalm is that? Yeah. So today we're going to focus on

Psalm 62. Okay. This group of Psalms is about life's hardships, and Psalm 62 is just a fun one to go through. All right. I think this is a really, really great Psalm about relying on God when the world does not make sense. And if we think about David's life, I mean, he's a pretty good example. If I think about my life. Yeah, there you go. That's pretty good. Yeah.

That's probably true.

So the psalm opens with, I am at rest in God alone.

My salvation comes from him.

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold.

I will never be shaken.

And this is a fantastic perspective.

But if we take a little bit of a closer look,

we see that David starts to go back and forth between the struggles of life and then the truths of who God is. So in verses 3 through 4, he then speaks about enemies. And enemies in the

Psalms could really point to anything. David did have legitimate enemies, but we can think of them

as just life struggles, trials,

tribulations, things, obstacles to living a good God-honoring life. But in light of those things,

David responds in verses 7 through 8, he says, but my salvation and glory depend on God,

my strong rock. Despite this craziness, despite the uncertainty of life, God is my rock.

And then again in verses 9, he returns to those uncertainties. And he talks about how life is a

vapor. My life is going to pass away quickly. People come and go, life is short. And then in light

of that, David then responds and says, but strength belongs to God and faithful love,
