From a tiny efficiency apartment in New York City, this is obscure season four in American tragedy.

It's a big day today here in New York City because my son is moving today.

Moving to New York City, he'll be staying with me for a while until we can find an apartment

for him.

No easy feet here in New York City.

It is just a zoo trying to find a place to live in this city, nearly an impossible undertaking. But, you know,

we're going to try. We'll find something for him somewhere. It may just be a barrel under a bridge.

I have no idea, but we will find something for him. So he arrives in a couple hours, and in the meantime, I figured,

well, I should probably record an episode of Obscure so that he doesn't have to sit in this

tiny efficiency apartment and listen to me do that. And so that's what I'm doing. I was in Dayton,

Ohio over the weekend. And if you've never been to Dayton, Ohio, I would suggest skipping it.

You don't need it. I'm sure it's a perfectly fine place to live for the people who live there.

And in fact, the fellow who was driving me around and was associated with the film festival that I was

performing at, he grew up in the area, seemed to like it just fine, and he and his wife are local

Dayton boosters, you know, they're talking up the city and trying to bring business in and,

you know, doing real chamber of commerce stuff. And God love them. God love him for doing that.

It feels like a losing battle from my perspective, but I was only there a day. What do I know about Dayton?

Maybe it's on the up and up. Maybe Dayton is the new Savannah. Who knows? I'm just saying it was an

unimpressive time while I was there, although I did have a nice time. And in fact, I bought tickets to go see Ben Folds.
