But what if we redefined flare in the same way we are redefining what it means to be "sick" or "broken" or "hopeless?" What if we challenged the definition of everything that is no longer serving us to make room for a greater perspective? That's what we are doing together today. 1:02.0	And, you know, I always spend a lot of time being thoughtful about words, about language.
1:14.8	When I was young, I remember my mother saying to me often, Nicole, words have power. Words have power. Use them wisely. Use them thoughtfully.
1:25.1	Know that when you speak, if you speak with confidence and knowing that what
1:32.1	you're saying is how you really feel, you will make an impact in this world. She did say that
1:37.7	to me quite a bit. And I took that very seriously. And the reason I named my first book, the Meaning of Truth, is because at the time I was
1:48.5	really deconstructing and being thoughtful about the word truth. You know, what is truth?
1:56.7	Is truth that you're broken? Is truth that if you have a chronic diagnosis, that's it for you?
2:02.9	Is truth that my spondylolisthesis so crazy and extreme on film was the reason for my pain?
2:13.9	Is it truth that the doctor who told me my life would be forever limited believed that?
