It's Katie year, one of your co-hosts, and it has been my privilege to walk with you through

the Gospel of John. Today we will bring the

Gospel of John to a close. Just a reminder we are reading the New Testament in a year.

Before we dive in I want to remind you of something we read a while ago,

in Luke 5 to be exact.

Simon Peter, James, and John were fishing on Lake Ganeserat,

also known as the Sea of Tiberius, which is also known as the Sea of

of Galilee.

They had a terrible night fishing, with no luck catching anything.

But when they got near the shore, a teacher named Jesus, who was delivering a message to a crowd,

asked to use Peter's boat so that he might teach from it. Peter agrees.

This man Jesus then asked Peter, frustrated by a night with no luck of fishing, to throw out his net one last time.

When the night came up, it was bursting at the seams with fish, too many to count. This was the first time Peter called Jesus Lord.

And Jesus says, don't be afraid. From now on, you will be catching people. Peter will go from a fisher of fish to a fisher of people.

Keep this in the back of your mind.
