0:33.6	Today we are studying Hebrews 5, and as always,

0:44.0	Yesterday we ended Hebrews 4 by basking in the beauty of Jesus as our high priest.
0:50.0	He became the atoning sacrifice for us in order to cleanse us from our sins.
0:54.8	Through his sacrifice, we have been given the gift of eternal rest,
0:59.4	the ability to approach the throne of grace and confidence right here today.
1:05.0	Remember, the author's desire in writing Hebrews is to elevate Jesus to his rightful position.
1:11.0	In these sections, he is showing us how Jesus is our ultimate
1:15.9	priests for us in every way. Like we talked about yesterday the high priest's main
1:20.9	job was to offer sacrifices to atone for the sins of Israel.
1:24.8	He verse 5 explains that the High Priest was also designated to have a deep sense of compassion
