Welcome to a year in the Bible with daily grace. My name is Kristen and my name is Katie and we want to spend a few minutes a day with you walking through the New Testament one chapter at a time.

This year we will fix our gaze upon Christ so that we may know

him, not only with our minds but with our hearts. Together we will learn that

Hi friends we are back for another day of a year in the Bible of Daily Grace.

We are almost finished with the Book of Acts in our year-long journey through the

New Testament. Can you believe it? Today, we will read Acts 27, and tomorrow we will finish

Luke's account of the early church in Acts 28.

After at least two years of imprisonment by Rome in Caesarea,

Paul appealed his case to be heard by Caesar or the Roman Emperor.

Jesus had told Paul that he would preach the gospel in this city,

the largest city in the world at the time.

And today, Paul will finally begin his journey there,

but it's not an easy one.

We will read about a ship struggling out at sea, but the underlying current carrying Paul

is his faith.

Jesus has told him that he would preach the Gospel in Rome and

so no matter what trial came before him on route there he knew that God would

deliver him. He had faith that what Jesus said will be. I think this faith, this

trust in Christ's word, is something that we can all behold today. But I don't want us to

behold Paul's faith, though it is admirable.
