0:38.7	Currently, we are studying the Book of Acts learning all about the early church.
0:43.3	We are in Acts 19 today.
0:46.4	So far, we have studied two missionary journeys of Paul's, where he's traveled to all kinds of
0:51.4	places, big cities and remote villages, to share the good news of Jesus.
0:56.4	Today we are reading about events that happen in Paul's third missionary journey, specifically
1:01.5	in Ephesus. Now yesterday we did see Paul stop by Ephesus, but it was very brief. This time he comes back and spends around three years.
1:13.0	All that happened in Ephesus can be described in one word
1:16.0	that we see in verse 23 of today's reading,
1:19.0	disturbance.
1:21.0	But not the type of disturbance you feel when your alarm clock interrupts a good night of sleep.
1:25.4	No a good type of disturbance, a revolution of coming to know Jesus so much that it was felt in the city, a disturbance of the norm that was noticed.
1:37.0	Jesus was making an impact in Ephesus.
1:40.0	Luke, the author of Acts, first tells us of a group of 12 men who were disciples of John
1:46.2	the Baptist, but not yet disciples of Christ. This means that they likely followed John the
1:51.0	Baptist's teaching on a Messiah, but they didn't know Jesus, and therefore they did not have the Holy Spirit.
