0:38.8	2nd Timothy 2 we remember that Paul is in chains. He is imprisoned in Rome and awaiting execution.
0:46.1	As he waits he writes to his beloved son in the faith Timothy, delivering some final
0:50.8	encouragement and reminding Timothy to persevere in the faith just as he has.
0:56.0	What we read today in chapter 2 can be summarized in three words from the apostle Paul to Timothy.
1:01.6	Three words that have sustained Paul through his whole ministry,
1:05.0	words that Paul is sure will sustain Timothy in his and ours today.
1:09.0	All of second Timothy can be summed up in these three words. Remember Jesus Christ. Remembering
1:17.9	Jesus helps Timothy to be strong in the grace he's received. Grace or the unmerited favor of God equips and propels Timothy and us to do the work God has called us to do.
1:30.0	Jesus's presence is with us.
1:32.0	He was with Timothy, and he's with you right now.
1:35.5	That grace isn't just a one-time thing
1:37.6	given to us at the time of salvation.
1:40.1	Grace sustains and strengthens us each and every day.
