Yesterday, Paul encouraged the Thessalonians to persevere through persecution

by setting their mind on the Second Coming of Christ,

when one day God would judge their persecutors and they would finally experience the relief of Christ's

Today, Paul addresses false teaching sneaking into the church attempting to squash this future hope.
