0:40.8	we covered 1st Corinthians 2, where Paul continues to emphasize the importance
0:45.2	of unity in the body of Christ and humbly defenses ministry to the Corinthians.
0:49.6	In this chapter we saw Jesus as the gracious forgiver that enables us to forgive our offenders
0:56.0	even when it feels impossible.
0:58.1	We also saw that Jesus is the victorious one worthy of our entire lives.
1:03.7	And as we enter chapter 3, it appears that Paul is attempting to address another criticism
1:08.6	the Corinthians had of him, that he was puffed up with pride. We'll talk about this response in just a moment,
1:15.0	but let me ask you a question first.
1:17.0	Have you ever asked someone for a letter of recommendation?
1:20.0	Maybe you sent a recommendation from a previous manager to a potential new employer.
