Welcome to a year in the Bible with daily grace. My name is Kristen and my name is Katie and we want to spend a few minutes a day with you walking through the New Testament one chapter at a time.

This year we will fix our gaze upon Christ so that we may know

Together we are studying the New Testament in a year.

Today we are studying 2 Corinthians 4 and as always you can follow along with the behold studies in the Daily Grace Coast Shop or the reading plan linked in the show notes.

Let's first talk about the main points of chapter 3 that will be helpful for us to remember as we continue today in chapter 4.

Paul spent most of chapter 3 humbly defending his ministry in response to some members of the

Corinthian church who had accused him of being an illegitimate

apostle. He said that the Corinthians and their transformed lives were his living, breathing,

letter of recommendation. He also talked about the special privilege he has as

the minister of the new covenant. His ministry is a result of the spirit,

unveiling hearts, opening eyes, and transforming believers into the image of Christ.

And it's important for us to remember what Paul talked about in Chapter 3

so that we can understand what he's saying in Chapter 4.

Chapter 4, verse 1, says,

Therefore, since we have this ministry because we were shown mercy,

Paul experienced much pain suffering

and opposition in his ministry. In fact, he was writing to some of the former and current
