0:26.0	Together we are studying the New Testament in a year and today we are studying 2 Corinthians 2.

0:40.3	Yesterday, we started off the Book of Second Corinthians by walking through the storied and at
0:44.7	time to strain relationship between Paul and the Corinthian Church.
0:49.3	If you miss the context provided in yesterday's episode, I encourage you to go back and listen to it.
0:55.0	And then we walk through 2 Corinthians 1 where Paul humbly refutes two challenges the Corinthians
1:00.8	made against his ministry. Paul could have spent the first chapter
1:04.5	defending himself out of pride, but instead he spends it defending the work of
1:09.6	Christ in and through him. His words remind us that Jesus is our trusted comfort in any
1:15.6	and every circumstance we face. As we enter chapter 2 we are going to see that
1:21.1	Paul spends the first few verses wrapping up the thoughts of chapter one.
1:25.6	Chapter 2 starts, for I made up my mind not to make another painful visit to you.
1:31.6	When was the last time you had a painful visit with a friend or a family
1:35.2	member? How did you feel going into the visit? How did you feel coming out of it?
1:40.8	For how long did the circumstances and conversations from that visit race in your thoughts?
