Today, we're reading Psalm 51 answering the question,

Can God take the Holy Spirit away?

Now, I want you to think, what's something you take for granted but could be taken away in an

instant? For me, when I think about that question today, I think about my driver's license.

And here's why. My answer to that question, what's something you take for granted that could be

taken away in an instant, is my driver's license because I have recently had a long series of

phone calls with the North Texas Toll Tag Association.

And I've had this issue before, but recently it's become uniquely problematic as my toll tag, my toll tag account, it keeps becoming mixed up with my other family members' toll tag accounts.

And I'm not really sure how or why this is happening, but I noticed

probably about six months ago that I started getting toll tag bills to my house for my car

that had the wrong name on them, but the correct address. And this has been quite the hassle.

And as I started reading the fine print on these letters, I realized that this is no joke,

because if this issue doesn't get sorted out, I could be fined $500 or lose my license for an

extended period of time. Now, I've never thought that I would ever be in a situation where I would

be worried about my license being suspended. But as it turns out, if your toll tag account gets messed up,

the very thing you once took for granted could be taken away. Now, don't worry, we're in the

process of getting it all sorted out. Everything's going to be fine. But as I read these letters in the

moment, I became incredibly alarmed that what I once thought was secure and never to be questioned

could be taken away.
