Today, Emma Dotter is joined by faithful Watermark member Alexia Voltzow to talk through Psalm 50 where God judges the moralists and the wicked. All of creation belongs to God, so He does not need burnt offerings or our performance. There is good news for the people of God – in Christ the ultimate sacrifice has been provided. God desires our hearts, and our thanksgiving honors Him. Listen through the end to hear Alexia’s advice for cultivating a heart of thanksgiving every day.

| 0:19.4 | Alexia, before we get to Psalm 50, would you share a little bit about what God's done in your life and what you're up to today? Yes. So I'm taking it way back. I did not grow up in a Christian home or Christian family. And really the first time I was introduced to church was in middle school through youth group. It was really just a social |
| 0:38.5 | outlet for me and a lot of my friends. But through that, I learned a few stories about the Bible, |
| 0:44.4 | which made me curious, but still not committed to Lord. And it actually wasn't until high school. |
| 0:50.6 | I had just graduated and I went to Young Life camp for the second time I was a young life |

| 1:01.8 | I was able to understand it at a new depth because I was introduced to the whole concept of grace, |
| 1:06.4 | which really just added so much color to the gospel for me because before then, I just thought it was a bunch of, hey, if I do the right things, say the right things, and basically very performance-driven, then God will bless me or be kind to me. |
| 1:21.2 | And it was through young life and hearing the gospel, the way that they present the gospel, that I really was able |
| 1:28.3 | to turn my life to the Lord and commit 100%. And since then, I feel like the Lord has just been |
| 1:37.3 | sanctifying me and just doing a work in my heart, which has been incredible. I started taking |
| 1:44.0 | my faith really seriously in college. I started taking my faith really seriously |
| 1:44.8 | in college. I started getting disciples and poured into and learn what it looks like to walk out |
| 1:49.5 | my faith and what it looks like to share my faith. And then right after graduating college, |
| 1:53.3 | I moved overseas for two years and did admissions, which was just such an incredible time. |
| 1:57.7 | And then I felt like the Lord was calling me back to the States. And so I've been in the States for the last few years, being faithful with the jobs he's put in front of me. |
