Today we're studying First Timothy 3 and as always you can find the behold studies

So far in First Timothy we have discussed that this epistle along with Second

Timothy and Titus are what are known as pastoral episals. They are written

primarily to leaders of the church but often read aloud to congregations as a whole.

That means they contain instructions for church conduct, church leadership,

and encouragement for those serving in pastoral roles.

Yesterday we read Paul's instructions for church conduct,

Today's chapter is important for all of us,

because if a church is made up of leaders who are not pursuing holiness, the congregation will also neglect holiness.

The church body will have an ill example of what it means to follow Christ.

However, on the flip side, if church leadership is wholeheartedly pursuing Jesus,
