0:11.0	This year we will fix our gaze upon Christ so that we may know

0:28.0	Welcome back to a year in the Bible with daily grace. My name is Kristen and it is my joy to be walking through 1st Timothy with you. Today we are studying First Timothy II.

0:42.0	Yesterday we began Paul's first letter to his beloved son in the
0:45.7	thief Timothy who was ministering to the church in Ephesus and we learned that
0:50.4	there were some false teachings circulating in the church. In order to
0:54.2	combat these false teachings restore order within the Ephesian Church and
0:57.9	encourage Timothy and ministry, Paul writes First Timothy. In our chapter today, Paul instruct
1:05.0	the Ephesion Church.
1:07.2	It's like an older mentor advising a younger mentee.
1:10.8	Except this particular mentor Paul is an apostle with authority from Jesus.
1:15.0	That's why we see Paul make an aside of sorts reminding Timothy that the credibility of his
1:21.3	Apostleship in verse seven.
1:23.9	Paul begins by calling the Ephesian Church
1:26.3	to prayer, all types of prayer for all types of people.
1:30.9	He is showing us just how important prayer is. He specifies petitions,
1:36.0	intercessions, and Thanksgiving. Paul says that we are to pray not only for
1:41.4	those within the church community, but for those outside the church body as well.
