0:54.0	To better understand this chapter, let's learn a little bit more about what life looked like in Corinth in the first century.
1:01.0	Remember, the Corinthian Church is located in Greece. In Grecian
1:05.9	culture, it was common for families to sacrifice idols in pagan temples, but not
1:10.9	in the entire animal. What was not sacrificed was
1:14.0	sacrificed was split between the priests and the family to eat,
1:17.0	or sometimes even sold in the markets.
1:19.0	Likely, a run-in with meat sacrificed to idols was a regular occurrence. And so the question is can
1:25.8	believers eat food that was sacrificed to idols?
1:29.4	spoiler this will lead to another greater question, does Christian freedom allow us to do things
1:36.7	that sting the conscience of another believer?
