Currently we are studying 1st Corinthians and today we will be in 1st Corinthians 3.

As Paul writes to the Corinthian Church, we should remember that Paul knows this church quite

well.

After all, the church is made of those who came to Christ after Paul's

18 months stay in Corinth which you read about in acts 18.

Though Paul rebukes the Corinthian Church in this letter, his rebuke is out of love and a genuine desire for the church to grow in their faith.

We see Paul's love for the Corinthians even in the first six words of this chapter, for Paul calls the Corinthians brothers and sisters, a term of familial unity.
