0:26.0	My name is Katie and together we are walking through the New Testament in a year.
0:30.0	Currently we are studying First Corinthians and today we will be in First

0:41.6	Yesterday Paul rebuked the Corinthians for allowing worldly matters to create division within the church.
0:48.0	The Corinthians were divided in preference of teacher.
0:51.0	Some preferred Paul, others referred Apollo, still some Peter. They likely
0:57.1	judge the leaders based on how we would judge teachers. Passion, looks, respectability, eloquence.
1:05.0	But Paul reminds them that teachers of the word are not celebrities to be praised.
1:10.0	They're servants of the true Lord.
1:12.0	They have given their lives not for their own glory, but to give Christ
1:16.3	glory. Paul continues to the servant metaphor today. What's ironic and so beautiful about today's chapter is that while the Corinthians are
1:25.0	judging teachers based on their strengths, Paul magnifies his weakness.
1:30.0	He is not living to please the Corinthians.
1:33.6	Paul says in verse 3 that it is of little importance to me
1:38.2	that I should be judged by you or any human court.
1:41.8	Paul knows it is God who judges him and therefore he has no need to
