Last episode, we introduced Hellenism and the impact of Hellenism on culture. We talked about Alexander the Great, we scratched the surface of education and how he used education to shape the culture. So I believe we need to continue that conversation a little bit today. Yes, let's continue. So education, one of the four pillars of Hellenism to infiltrate every culture, Alexander the Great conquered.

Education, we talked about how the Hebrew, Jewish boy or girl would go to the Bates of

There were three levels of schooling.

Bates of four, Bait Talmud, Bait Midrash, those are the three.

And so the Bates of Sifor at the age of four or five or six, they would go to this schooling. They would learn the Torah by memory. They would learn the girls would learn as well the Psalms, as well as the songbook. And then after that, what they would do is they would move on to the second level of study, which was called the bait what? Talmud. Midrash. I mean, the bait Talmud, no, Kang's right. Candy, good job, Candy. Points, score. Batal mood, which is called the house, see if you know the second point. The house of study. No, that's the midrash. The house of learning. Learning, she got it. She got it. The house of learning.

So at this point, all the girls would go to work in the family home.

So if the family had a garden or the mom made dresses or they made sandals or shoes or whatever,

the girls would go learn in the home, the family business, and boys would as well.
