Today, we take a fun trip to the book of Psalms.

While we've covered most of Psalms during the reigns of King David and Solomon, there

are a few more in the days ahead that help us better understand what is happening in the

life of God's people.

When we think about the narratives we read yesterday, we were given a lot of facts about

the fall of Judah.

But today, these two Psalms provide us with an emotional understanding of the turmoil

felt by God's people as they experienced the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple.

While their disobedience brought God's judgment on them, they knew to take their

cries of anguish to the only one they could turn to in their despair.

These Psalms will remind us of the importance of seeking the Lord in difficult times, and

they will also remind us of the importance of repentance and faithfulness to the Lord.
