Tiffany here and today we get to spend some more time in the Psalms.

If you remember, yesterday we spoke briefly about the two Choras mentioned in first chronicles.

When we saw in chapter 2, verse 43, and 1 we will get to tomorrow in chapter 6, verse 37.

Each of the Psalms we chapter today are written by the sons or descendants of Chora who

rebelled against Moses back in number 16.

This is the Chora found in first chronicles 637.

So these Psalms are a day or two early in our plan, but they will point our hearts toward

the Lord and His plan of redemption nonetheless.

We also want to remember that we don't know specifically when these Psalms were written.

King David appointed the sons of Chora as musicians as the people worshiped at the tabernacle

and in preparation for the building of the temple.

So they could have been written in the early years of David's reign and also into the

reign of Solomon who eventually built the temple.

These Psalms have been placed here in our reading plan to logically follow the genealogy

in first chronicles, but the truths they share transcend time.
