My name is Tiffany, and I want to spend a few minutes with you every day walking through the Bible chronologically.

Hey here in the Bible family. Welcome back to the podcast.

Tiffany here, and today we get to journey to the Psalms.

After such a momentous dedication and celebration for the temple,

it's only fitting to read these Psalms that worship and praise the Lord for who he is and what he has done for his children.

Though we don't know who authored each one or when they were specifically written,

each one reminds us of the great rejoicing that took place when Solomon dedicated the temple.

Each one was sung throughout Israel's history at feasts and festivals,

and each one still resonates in the hearts of believers today,

as we worship our God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

So let's get started with Psalm 134.

This Psalm is liturgical in its delivery, similar to Psalm 136 which we read yesterday.

The first two verses were sung by the congregation as they called for the servants of the Lord,

likely the priests, to bless the Lord through their worship and service at his holy place.

1:32.0

The priests then responded by asking the Lord the maker of heaven and earth to bless the congregation.

1:39.0

This Psalm has been addiction-type qualities and likely closed the singing at feasts and festivals.

1:47.0

For Christians today, we can sing both parts of this Psalm to each other.

Because of Christ, we are the congregation and we are now part of the royal priesthood who serve others within our churches.

As we share the gospel, we spur each other on and bless each other in the work God has called us to.
