0:28.3	Tiffany here and today we get to study 2 Chronicles, chapters 6 through 7 and Psalm 136.
0:36.7	These chapters and 2 Chronicles are a continuation of the temple dedication we read about yesterday
0:42.8	in 1 Kings 8 and will also journey back to Psalms to read a Psalm of celebration and worship
0:50.2	to the Lord.
0:52.0	Today's chapters will remind us who God is, why we worship Him, and our right and necessary
0:59.2	response of obedience.
1:02.0	As you read 2 Chronicles 6, I hope it sounded rather familiar, we read this same address
1:07.8	and prayer from Solomon yesterday when we read 1 Kings 8.
1:12.4	In that chapter, we saw how all the covenants collided at the temple dedication and we talked
1:18.3	about the 7 petitions Solomon made to the Lord.
1:22.4	Solomon knew the hearts of men were sinful and his petitions sought the Lord's forgiveness
1:27.6	and mercy.
1:29.1	But these petitions also remind us that God has called us to obedience, something he will
1:34.9	remind Solomon of once the temple festivities end.
1:38.6	But first, let's notice Solomon's final blessing over the people.
