Hey friends, welcome back to our chronological journey through the Bible.

Tiffany here, and it is such an honor to take this journey with you.

Today, our time in Proverbs shifts from Solomon's direct address to his son to his collection of Proverbs.

From chapters 10 to 22, there are hundreds of these two phrase, one verse proverbs, that often seem to have no connection to each other.

So, over the next several days, as we look at our three daily chapters,

we will group the Proverbs based on the overarching topics or subjects within those three chapters.

We'll chat about Solomon's main point and how we see the wisdom of the Proverbs in the New

Testament and our own lives. And more importantly, we will talk about the Proverbs that point

our hearts to the gospel. Chapter 10 through 12 are on the docket for today, and the overarching

themes we want to take a look at are laziness,

the tongue, and our future physical and spiritual ends.

But before we dive into those, we want to remember that Solomon's Proverbs contrast the righteous

and the wicked. Today, the righteous are believers who know and follow Christ.

We heed the wisdom of these proverbs to help us walk in holiness and to look more like Jesus.

The wicked are those who don't know the Lord and walk in their sinful ways. Their actions are not holy,

but instead display a heart of rebellion toward the Lord. As we walk through many of these
