| 0:00.0 | Welcome to a Year in the Bible with Daily Grace. |
| 0:05.0 | From Eden to eternity, the Bible tells one big story of redemption. |
| 0:10.0 | My name is Tiffany, and I want to spend a few minutes with you every day walking through the Bible chronologically. |
| 0:17.0 | Together, we will explore God's sovereign plan as the events of Scripture unfold and point to Jesus. |
| 0:23.6 | Hey, you're in the Bible friends. Welcome back to the podcast. Tiffany here, and today we not only complete the book of Nehemiah, but we also read our final Psalm. As we walk through these chapters today, we will be reminded |
| 0:40.3 | of two very important truths. God is faithful to his covenants and promises, and we must not |
| 0:47.3 | neglect our relationship with the Lord. So let's dive in to Nehemiah 11 through 13 and Psalm 126. |
| 0:56.6 | Yesterday, we ended our time by studying the renewed worship of the people, |
| 1:02.0 | their confession of sin, and the covenant they made before the Lord. |
| 1:07.4 | And as we come to chapter 11, we read about the resettling of Jerusalem. Once the wall was complete, |

| 1:30.8 | As we've seen throughout Nehemiah, decisions have been made in an orderly fashion. |
| 1:36.4 | The resettling of Jerusalem was no different, as the people cast lots to decide which families would remain in the city. One out of every 10 would live in Jerusalem, |
| 1:49.3 | and the remaining nine would return to their ancestral towns. And all the people blessed to those |
| 1:56.1 | who volunteered to stay. We then read a list of all the heads of each family that moved to Jerusalem. |
| 2:04.2 | As you read all those names across chapter 11 and part of chapter 12, you might wonder why it |
| 2:10.4 | matters to have a record of them in scripture. First, we have to realize that these families who |
| 2:16.3 | moved to Jerusalem gave up a lot. |
| 2:19.2 | Remember, God had allotted land within the promised land to each tribe and each family within that tribe. |
| 2:26.4 | It was their inheritance from the Lord. |
| 2:29.4 | They were willing to move away from their ancestral land in order to settle in Jerusalem. |
