0:52.3	As we close the Old Testament today, we will take a quick look at the book of Malachi.
0:58.7	These are the final words that God speaks through his prophets, before he is seemingly
1:04.7	silent for 400 years.
1:07.6	And while they might not be the words the Jewish people hoped for, they were exactly what
1:13.1	they needed.
1:15.2	Not much is known about Malachi, other than he prophesied during the post-exilic period
1:20.9	during the time Nehemiah was governor of the region.
1:25.2	This was around 100 years after the first wave of exiles returned to Jerusalem.
1:31.9	Just as we saw Nehemiah rebuke the people in the final chapter of the book bearing his
1:36.8	name, we will see Malachi do the same.
