Welcome to this bonus episode about the Inter-Testimental Period.

Tiffany here, and I am so excited to walk you through some important details in these

400 years between Malachi and the Gospels.

Though God no longer spoke through the prophets during the Inter-Testimental Period, his sovereign

plan of redemption was still unfolding through the events of history.

That thin little page that divides the old and new testaments in your Bible is filled

with historical events that bring us to the perfect moment when Jesus came to fulfill

each and every promise.

The Bible speaks to this perfect moment in Galatians 4-4 when the Apostle Paul writes,

but when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his son.

The fullness of time includes those 400 years between Malachi and Matthew.

That time period led to the rise and fall of several world dynasties, many technological

advances, and the context of the Jewish religious system that Jesus contends with in the gospel.

God sent Jesus at the exact right moment in redemptive history to fulfill the prophecies
