Our journey from even to eternity continues today in the Gospels of Luke and Matthew.

Jesus has begun his final journey toward Jerusalem and the death and suffering that await

him.

But in the days ahead, we will see that though agony was in his future, he still had

compassion on the people, and he continued to teach them about what it means to follow

In Luke 19, Jesus is on his way to Jerusalem and went through the town of Jericho.

It was there he met a man named Zacchaeus.

Even though Zacchaeus was a Jew, he was despised by his people because he was the chief

tax collector of the region.

Even though his business practices were questionable, Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus,

just like the crowd, and when he encountered Jesus, his heart and life were changed forever.
